The 2026 grad would not falter on day 3, making two more birdies and one bogey on her final nine holes to fire a final round of 1-under par, 71. For 18-hole rounds, Vernier had an iWanamaker ranking of 2.511 with an average score of 73.5. Vernier, during the postseason, finished tied for second at the district tournament, fourth at the region tournament and then, as mentioned, tied for third at the state tournament. She shot three-under par to claim victory in the three-day tournament, which finished at Lost Key Golf Club. She&#8217;s had a few tournaments since, including a win at the Southeast Junior Golf Tour Championship at Atlanta National Golf Club. Vernier was the area&#8217;s top finisher at the Class 2A state tournament last season, finishing in a four-way tie for 15th with a two-day total of 153. Vernier finished the tournament with a two-day total of 151 to claim the Junior Masters Girls Overall division.&nbsp;&#8220;I was really just trying to focus on my own game, because obviously you can\u2019t control other people\u2019s games. I knew I was close,\u201d Vernier said. \u201cI wasn\u2019t focusing on just winning.
